Strategic Redevelopment, LLC

Strategic Redevelopment, LLC was created in 2000 by Ryan Hill and Chris Russell with plans to redevelop distressed structures in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC. In the beginning, the company’s mission was to transform buildings, in areas of DC focused on revitalization, into high end homes. Since its inception, Strategic Redevelopment, LLC has successfully implemented this mission as it has renovated over 25 luxury homes in numerous Capital Hill neighborhoods. One example of this work is the unit block of 15th Street, NE where Strategic Redevelopment set record square foot sales prices when it renovated six high-end luxury row homes from previously uninhabitable structures.

After its start in its re-development efforts in Capital Hill, Strategic Redevelopment, LLC has branched out into several other areas of real estate development. Some projects include the conversion of an abandoned historic apartment building near the new DC Convention Center into ten high end luxury condominiums as well as residential lot development in Prince Georges County, Maryland and Washington, DC. Other projects include the successful construction of several million dollar homes in Bethesda and Gaithersburg and the re-positioning of a distressed hotel in the US Virgin Islands. Current projects include the development of The Berry Hill Plantation Resort in Southern Virginia, which will be a 700 unit retirement community, with an 18 hole championship golf course and 142 room world class Resort & Spa.

Prior to the creation of Strategic Redevelopment, LLC, Hill and Russell spent 5 years in the mortgage banking industry as loan originators working with residential home buyers as well as builders and developers in real estate finance. It was from these contacts that Hill and Russell began to pursue development activities that led to the formation of Strategic Redevelopment, LLC.
