Berry Hill Plantation Resort

Berry Hill Plantation Resort is a world class 92 room resort that is located in South Boston, Virginia.

Berry Hill, one of the finest examples of Greek revival architecture, was originally built in 1842. In 1999, AXA, a French financial services company purchased the property to create a US based in house training facility. AXA renovated the historic property and added an 88 room hotel wing, indoor pool, dining facilities and conference space.

In 2002, AXA decided to divest itself of its US based training facility and sold the property to Strategic Redevelopment, LLC. When Strategic Redevelopment, LLC purchased the property, it created a development plan that called for the transformation of Berry Hill from an in house training facility into a world class destination resort.

Development plans called for the immediate addition of a Spa, Tavern and improvements to the Hotel Rooms and Landscaping, which are currently completed and operating and the long term addition of a 15,000 sq. foot conference center, 50 additional hotel rooms, a championship golf course and a 1000 unit residential-commercial development.

Carambola Beach Resort

The Carambola Beach Resort is a 157 room resort hotel located on the island of St. Croix in the United States Virgin Islands.

Strategic Redevelopment, LLC acting as the managing member and an equity investor, participated in purchasing the underperforming asset from bankruptcy court. Through 2 years of ownership, Strategic Redevelopment, LLC helped craft a development plan to re-position the hotel. This development plan called for an overhaul of the existing marketing and operations as well as the renovation of the existing property and the new construction of an additional 100 rooms, 15,000 square feet of conference space and a 15,000 foot casino.

In the summer of 2004 the resort and development plans were sold to a local investor group.
